The largest of which is the Tehachapi Mountain Festival, held annually by the Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce as well as local volunteers and businesses. Each year the mountain festival growns in attendance as well as fun activities for the entire family to enjoy. Summers downtown are home to a weekly farmers market where residents from all around come to enjoy the harvest from local farmers of everything from lettuce to fine wine from the local vineyards. Come Christmas time you will find downtown Tehachapi decorated with twinkling lights and beautiful decor that appear as if it came from the pages of a Charles Dickens novel in preparation of the annual Christmas parade and tree lighting. With so many year-round community events held in Tehachapi, there are many opportunities to make new friends and gather with old ones.

Neighborhoods in Tehachapi are unique in style and flair. Many homes in Tehachapi and the surrounding areas are custom or are on large lots which gives its residents plenty of privacy and room to spread out.
